PARTICIPANT DECLARATION
I voluntarily agree to participate in the Jawai Trail Run 2027 and acknowledge that ultra-distance running involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, falls, collisions, dehydration, exhaustion, heat-related illness, wildlife encounters, uneven terrain, changing weather conditions, moving traffic, and other unforeseen hazards.
By signing this document, I declare that:
- I am medically fit, physically prepared, and adequately trained to participate in the race distance I have registered for.
- I have consulted my physician wherever necessary and have received medical clearance to participate.
- I understand that participation is entirely at my own risk and I accept full responsibility for my health and safety throughout the event.
- I understand that the Race Medical Team has full authority to stop or withdraw me from the race if they consider me medically unfit to continue. Their decision shall be final and binding.
- I understand that there may be moving traffic on portions of the race route and I agree to obey all instructions issued by race officials, volunteers, police authorities and medical personnel.
- I understand that mobile network coverage may be limited or unavailable on certain sections of the course and I will not rely solely on mobile communication during the event.
- I understand that no single-use plastic water bottles will be provided during the race and I am responsible for carrying my own hydration system suitable for my race category.
- I agree to follow the official race route and understand that taking shortcuts, leaving the marked course, receiving unauthorized assistance, or violating race rules may result in penalties or immediate disqualification.
- I understand that headphones, earphones and personal audio devices are prohibited during the race for safety reasons.
- I agree to respect fellow participants, volunteers, race officials, local residents, wildlife and the environment, and I will dispose of waste only in designated waste zones.
WAIVER, RELEASE & TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
- Registration is valid only for the registered participant and is strictly non-transferable.
- Registration fees are non-refundable in case of non-participation, illness, failure to collect the race bib, or inability to start or finish the race, except where specifically stated in the official event policy.
- Bib swapping, tampering with the bib, or allowing another person to participate using my bib will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to a ban from future editions.
- My race bib must remain clearly visible on the front of my body throughout the event.
- I am solely responsible for my personal belongings. The organisers shall not be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to baggage or valuables.
- I accept full responsibility for all medical expenses, ambulance charges, hospital expenses, rescue costs or any other expenses arising from my participation.
- I understand that photographs, videos, recordings and media captured during the event may be used by the organisers, sponsors and partners for promotional, marketing and media purposes without compensation.
- I agree to comply with all race rules, instructions and decisions made by the Race Director, Organising Committee, Race Officials and Medical Team.
- I understand that the organisers reserve the right to modify the race route, aid stations, cut-off timings, event schedule or race format due to weather conditions, government directives, safety concerns or any unforeseen circumstances.
- I release, waive and forever discharge the Jawai Trail Run Organising Committee, Event Directors, Sponsors, Government Authorities, Volunteers, Medical Personnel, Timing Partners, Contractors and all associated organisations from any liability, claims, demands, actions or causes arising from injury, illness, disability, death, property damage or any loss suffered during or because of my participation.
- This waiver shall be binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives and assigns.
PARTICIPANT CONSENT
I certify that I have carefully read and fully understood this Participant Declaration, Waiver, Release and Indemnity Form.
I voluntarily agree to all the rules, regulations and conditions governing my participation in the Jawai Trail Run.
I understand that by signing this document I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue the organisers, except where prohibited by applicable law.
